Tip Tuesday: Wedding Plan B

Happy Tip Tuesday everyone!

This tip comes to you from the comfort of home as we all practice our social distancing. Life (and wedding planning!) seems to be a little off track right now, but we love that so many are coming together to support one another! We hope this little nugget of advice puts you at ease while wedding plans are going anything but smoothly.

Tip: Work with your wedding planner or ultra-loving and patient fiance to come up with a Plan B for wedding day. If you’re a human being, you know that things almost never happen perfectly the way we think they will. And it sucks.

Your favorite aunt is sick and can’t make it. The forecast is all gloomy downpour. Your DREAM photographer is already booked. Oh, and you are actually going to have to be quarantined for the unseeable future. What do you do with that?

We know. It’s a huge bummer. Your wedding won’t be all that your Pinterest told you it would be. And you don’t want to wait to marry your better half. But having a back-up plan will help you keep your head up and give you something to look forward to without panicking! Rainy skies? Check with your venue about indoor ceremony options. Dream photographer booked? Ask them for their favorite recommendation (you can trust they have good taste!). Quarantined? Postpone, head to the courthouse, or make it a small affair in the backyard with your favorite people.

It’s all about the love between you and your future bride or groom. The rest is just extra goodness that you will eventually forget about or will make for a really funny story later on. Stay strong and know it’s all going to be okay!
